垃圾時間派正選違慣例
【明報專訊】當兩支NBA球隊比分差距太遠，比賽剩餘時間已不足以讓落後球隊後來趕上時，餘下比賽時間被稱為「垃圾時間」，NBA球隊的慣例雙方會在這時段收起主力，讓後備甚至平常甚少上陣機會的廣 告
「籮底橙」球員「消磨」時間；金塊在「垃圾時間」仍派出5名正選上陣，紐約人認為受辱。
「垃圾時間」派副選幾已成不成文規定，就像足球運動有球員受傷而踢波出界，讓球員接受治療一樣；若不按這「規定」，會被視為侮辱及不君子，尤其金塊更不留情面地入樽「威」，更令紐約人認為是挑釁。
積遜曾領「籮底橙」反勝
然而「垃圾時間」不一定垃圾，過往名教練積遜執教公牛期間，曾在「垃圾時間」領後備憑出色表現創造球隊反勝的例子；騎士球星勒邦占士在今年11月初對鷹隊的賽事，於比賽剩下15秒時眼見騎士落後9分便放棄了比賽，卻備受各界口誅筆伐。

Dec. 17 -- "Last night's altercation with the Knicks escalated further than it should have. I take full responsibility for my actions in the matter. In the heat of the moment I let my emotions get the best of me. I apologize to the fans, the Denver Nuggets, the NBA, my mother, and my family for the embarrassment I have caused them. I ask you all for your forgiveness.
I also want to make a personal apology to Mardy Collins and his family. My actions were inexcusable, and I am sorry for making this an even more embarrassing situation.
What makes this all the more painful is that this was one of the most important weeks of my life. I just realized one of my biggest dreams when we opened the Youth Center in Baltimore that bares my name. To see the community excited and hundreds of kids smiling was an incredible feeling. Now the thought of thousands of kids seeing this incident on TV pains me. This is not the example I want to set.
It's my hope that we work to move forward from this event, and never let something like this happen again."
