Blackburn return on for Birmingham's Dunn

Blackburn Rovers are being linked with Birmingham City midfielder David Dunn.

The Lancashire Evening Telegraph says the 26-year-old midfielder is being put on the transfer list by Birmingham in the New Year, along with Matthew Upson - and Rovers boss Mark Hughes is sure to monitor the situation.

Hughes, who played alongside Dunn during his playing spell at Blackburn in 2002, reportedly made a late �2m bid for the former Rovers star in the summer.

But the approach was knocked back by Blues boss Steve Bruce, branding the bid as "cheeky".

But sources in the Midlands suggest that Dunn would be available for a fee in the region of about �1million - a huge drop from the �5.5m Birmingham paid Rovers for Dunn's services back in 2003.
