費高回心轉意續簽國米一年

(星島日報報道)葡萄牙中場費高加盟沙特阿拉伯球會伊蒂哈德一事，因國際米蘭主席莫拉堤出面挽留費高而告吹。據報費高將與國際米蘭續簽一年新約，合約限期到二○○八年六月才屆滿。
較早前伊蒂哈德方面曾經公布，成功以六百萬歐羅（約六千一百萬港元）轉會費向國際米蘭收購費高，費高亦將會在一月初向伊蒂哈德報到。不過，這宗轉會交易在聖誕、新年間假期出現突變，國米主席莫拉堤親自致電向費高作出挽留。結果，費高被莫拉堤的誠意所打動決定回心轉意，決定為國際米蘭多打一個球季。莫拉堤並向傳媒透露，事情已經有所定案，費高將會留在國米至二○○八年夏天。
而費高今次留隊勢將影響到阿根廷中場馬里安奴干沙利斯在國米的地位，甚至有機會促使國米把馬里安奴干沙利斯賣走。

Figo transfer confusion Thursday 4 January, 2007

Al-Ittihad have revealed that they will present Luis Figo to the Press on Thursday, despite Inter’s latest statement taking the player off the market.
The flying winger, who has been frustrated with his limited playing time under Coach Roberto Mancini, was allegedly offered £4.2m for a six-month stay with the Saudi outfit.
Inter officially denied that there were negotiations underway, stating that the news of a possible transfer was completely groundless.
On Thursday however, an official statement was posted on Al-Ittihad’s website, announcing that Figo would be presented today at the Emirates Tower Hotel in Dubai.
“We offered £3.2m to Inter, who rejected it. We then submitted another offer that was accepted. Figo will be contracted to us until June 2008, earning £6.4m,” read the note on the Arabian website.
There has been no comment from the former Real Madrid man, who it seems is scheduled to meet the club’s management after January 8.
