dives into tackles mean the player is more likely to perform a slide tackle rather than stand off and try to mark/slow down the opposing player
that is not a good attribute to have against high technique players ......

well.... from SI games forum
"Dives into tackles" - means that a player will tend to jump straight into a tackle rather than trying to time a tackle or push a player wide.
"Does not dive into tackles" - means a player will stand off the player with the ball and try and push him wide or try and time the tackle better.
It has nothing to do with diving to gain a free kick/penalty.
