Chivu set for Inter

Romanian defender Cristian Chivu is set to join Inter after rejecting an offer from Barcelona at the last minute.
The Nerazzurri have managed to beat their Spanish rivals with a £9m offer and the transfer could be made official early on Tuesday morning.
At one point during the negotiations Chivu seemed almost certain to sign for Barca, but Beneamata President Massimo Moratti appears to have made the decisive offer.
Chivu was spotted in Milan with his agent Giovanni Becali. The meeting with the club directors is thought to have been successful and the former Ajax star agreed a four-year deal worth £3m-per-season.
With this deal chiefs Rosella Sensi and Moratti have confirmed that relations between Roma and Inter are improving.
Chivu’s transfer follows Chilean midfielder David Pizarro, who moved the other way to join the Giallorossi for £4m last week after the end of his co-ownership deal.:icon101:

【明報專訊】國際米蘭 繼被揭發在未得卡利亞里同意下，「偷步」與洪都拉斯前鋒蘇亞素簽約後，近日「藍黑兵團」又被指非法接觸羅馬後衛捷禾，羅馬在一怒之下大有機會將捷禾轉售予巴塞隆拿 。
將於2008年約滿的捷禾，由於要求大幅加薪，所以續約談判宣布破裂，羅馬亦立即收購了巴西 後衛祖安來取代捷禾的位置。
羅馬原本已傾向把捷禾轉售往意甲以外的聯賽，以免助長競爭對手的實力，而巴塞隆拿提出以法國 翼鋒古利再加現金1.25億港元（800萬鎊）的豐厚條件羅致；此外，國際米蘭教練文仙尼被揭發私下致電捷禾游說該羅馬尼亞國腳來投，所以有消息指羅馬大感憤怒，勢把捷禾轉售予巴塞隆拿。
隨時被禁買賣球員
羅馬總經理辛斯表示﹕「我們從不會背其他球會斟洽對方球員，但國際米蘭偏偏漠視規條，這是不尊重其他球會。」據報若捷禾在國米游說下拒投巴塞隆拿，羅馬便會正式向意足總 舉報。至於國際米蘭若連續兩次非法私下斟洽球員罪證確鑿的話，勢面臨巨額罰款甚至禁止買賣球員的處分。

Roma seal Esposito switch
Cagliari President Massimo Cellino has confirmed that Mauro Esposito will join Roma in a co-ownership deal.
The winger, who was ruled out for six months last term by a knee injury, had already been paired with the capital city club last summer, but the Giallorossi failed to complete the transfer.
“Esposito told me that he would have stayed at Cagliari forever, but playing for Roma was a great opportunity and I didn’t have the courage to say no,” Cellino told the radio program La Politica nel Pallone.
“Roma said they could not do anything insane to sign him and we had already reached a verbal agreement for David Suazo, so we decided to find a solution suitable for all of us,” added the Rossoblu chief.
“Players like Esposito have stayed in Cagliari because of their affection and not for the money. Esposito earns ￡280,000 a year and has never asked for an increase, I felt I owed him something.”
The Isolani have agreed to release the player whilst keeping 50 per cent of his contract and have reportedly been offered ￡3.5m by the Giallorossi, plus the loans of Gianluca Curci and Daniele Galloppa.
