La Sexta emitirá este fin de semana tres encuentros de fútbol en abierto, después de que Mediapro se lo confirmara a la cadena de televisión de la que es accionista, informaron fuentes de ese canal.

De esta manera, La Sexta ofrecerá el sábado, a las 22 horas, el Sevilla-Getafe y seguidamente, en diferido, el Murcia-Zaragoza, y el domingo, a las 21 horas, el derby valenciano entre el Valencia y el Villarreal.

Esta es la primera vez, desde que se emite fútbol en pago, que se emiten tres partidos en abierto y dos de ellos el mismo día, a la vez que Canal + ofrecerá el Espanyol-Valladolid el domingo, a las 21 horas.

La única vez que se han emitido dos encuentros en abierto fue tras el acuerdo al que llegaron el 23 de diciembre de 1996 entre el Grupo Z, que tenía los derechos de una serie de clubes de Primera División, y Sogecable, propietario de otros, poniendo fin a la primera "guerra del fútbol".
