The 24-year-old midfielder, contracted to Lazio, is currently on loan at Cagliari and his displays in the early part of the Serie A season have seen him called up to the Italy squad.

Cagliari have the option of buying the player at the end of the season but may be unlikely to meet Lazio's asking price.
