HG Question

I would like to ask why I signed a player at age of 17, but he's now 23, there's still no HG status ?
The player is signed from French and I'm playing Liverpool.

But I have never loaned him out ??!!So he should have stayed 3 years before age 21 ... I'm not sure how the game count HG ...

This also happens to some of the Brazilians I signed at age of 18 ... they're not counted as "home trained"

那個法國人同意加盟時，是十七歲。但是他真正入隊時已經 18歲又不知多少日。
另通常班巴西佬都做唔到 HG。18歲生日後才能來歐洲，但又不一定能立即來。那就來不及效力滿三年…
