Wenger - I only want one birthday present

Happy Birthday Arsène Wenger — 58 today.

As you might expect the Frenchman has little time for this annual frivolity.He’ll spend his day in the normal fashion - watching football games and preparing for football games. In fact the only present he wants is a better performance against Slavia Prague on Tuesday than the one put in against Bolton at the weekend.

"It's a day like every other day,” said Wenger. “I already have many socks so I don't need them. I will watch Newcastle-Tottenham. Maybe I will have a glass of wine at home, but that is it. I was never a great celebrator of birthdays: I will have a quiet night and prepare for the next day's game.

So what gift could his players give him?

"To play better on Tuesday than they did against Bolton,” replied Wenger.

“I just want people to be happy and it's important to keep the spirit that we have at the moment. As a manager, there is nothing better to think that you have contributed to the happiness of people. I don't want them to stay as they are - I want them to improve - but I want them to keep that attitude.”

　　阿仙奴主教練雲格日前披露了執教槍手十一年來、自己心中的十一人最佳陣容，阿仙奴球會還為這十一人專門制作了DVD，名為《阿仙奴的十一人》。

　　守門員：希曼，代表阿仙奴出場245次

　　雲格評語：他總是那麼的鎮定，總是在微笑；當他陷入困境，總能很好的做出回應，在他美好的微笑背後，是鋼鐵般的堅定意志。

　　右後衛：羅倫，出場227次，替補14次

　　當我剛簽下他時，他的位置是中場，但他不知道，自己竟能成為科里安迪克遜的替代者。羅倫是一個非常難對付的家伙，你可以帶著他去打仗，因為他是個真正的勝利者，他敢于和最強的對手硬拼，從不屈服。

　　左後衛：阿什利-高爾，出場218次，替補10次

　　阿什利-高爾一生都會是槍手。他是一個喜歡進攻的後衛，每個人都喜歡他，因為當你控球時，他總在你身邊，做好準備去進攻，他是一個頂級的選手。

　　中後衛：基昂，出場250次，替補14次

　　他對于勝利有著超乎尋常的渴望，當在場上一對一時，他令人難以置信，他有足夠的技術能力，但有時候卻沒有足夠的信心。

　　中後衛：高路托尼，出場217次，替補27次
