02-04-2008 One youth system at a time
Since the launch of the youth academies one year ago, it has been possible to operate both an academy and the old "youth pull" at the same time. This grace period will now end. Starting on July 1, teams that own a youth academy will lose their ability to recruit youth players directly into the senior squad. That is, if you want to use the classic youth pull after July 1, you need to close your youth academy before then. This change doesn't mean that your choice is permanent - you can always switch strategies later. But you will not be able to use them both in parallell.
