Reports in the Guardian this morning claim that Harry Redknapp has offered a trial to former Arsenal winger Quincy Owusu-Abeyie having played for the Lilywhites in a behind-closed-doors match.
The Ghanaian international, who played for Holland at youth level, is currently under contract at Spartak Moscow but hasn’t played for the Russian side since 2007 having been on loan at Celta Vigo and Birmingham City.

Harry Redknapp could have his work cut out after suggestions that the player’s feisty temper and lack of patience have previously hindered his on-field development.
Having failed to settle in Holland, Russia and Spain Quincy will be hoping that his experiences and Arsenal and Birmingham City stand him in good stead with the former Portsmouth manager.
