Hot on the heels of Luca Toni’s supposed transfer to Borussia Dortmund another shocking, but completely false, report has broken the news – Giuseppe Rossi to Milan!
A hacker managed to squeeze past the online security services at the club and accessed the Rossoneri official website.
The front story on the homepage then became the capture from Villarreal of the Italian international, unfortunately for the Rossoneri fans it was all a prank.
It took Milan only a couple of minutes to remove it from their website but the news had already spread around the country.
Several media outlets on the peninsula reported the deal and went as far as predicting the fee agreed between the two outfits.
Sportmediaset has now unveiled what really happened. Meanwhile, the Diavoli supporters are left with two certainties – Rossi is still in Spain while Milan remain with no major signing this summer.
