Jarque stayed at espanyol for his whole career so i guess the most complete medical test would have been when he was very young, and you throughout puberty you heart grows man, mild defect that probably missed by an ecg could be amplified by growth and become dangerous. Especially a sports player with such high cardiac load would be highly dangerous with undiagnosed defect.

of course I am not professional yet, maybe what i said was just all bs
