The Golden State Warriors have agreed in principle to send Stephen Jackson(notes) to the Charlotte Bobcats in exchange for Raja Bell(notes) and Vladimir Radmanovic(notes), NBA sources said Monday morning.
The deal also would send Warriors guard Acie Law(notes) to the Bobcats.

Allen Iverson's time in Memphis is over.
The Grizzlies announced Monday in a statement that the team has ended its one-year contract with the 10-time All-Star and former league MVP in what it called a mutual agreement. Iverson is expected to be placed on waivers by 6 p.m. ET Monday, a league source told ESPN.com's Chris Sheridan.
Under the agreement, Iverson will receive only a fraction of the $3 million he was scheduled to earn. If he clears waivers, he will become an unrestricted free agent on Wednesday night.
Iverson has been on a personal leave of absence for 10 days. Grizzlies owner Michael Heisley had told Iverson's agent, Leon Rose, earlier Monday that team wanted to know soon whether Iverson would play or retire, the Memphis Commercial Appeal reported on its Web site.
In three games since returning from a hamstring injury, Iverson averaged 12.3 points and 3.7 assists in 22.3 minutes as a reserve.

Fairly cheaply, the Warriors were able to make their Stephen Jackson problems disappear by dealing him to the Charlotte Bobcats for Raja Bell's expiring contract and Vladimir Radmanovic. Golden State possibly could have received more usable assets had they waited into December, January or even February when a true contender became unbearably desperate to add Jackson, but the risk wasn't worth the reward; particularly because their current season was in dangers of becoming unsalvageable while the disconnect lingered.
For Jackson, he goes from one 3-6 non-contender with an aging, legendary, sometimes cantankerous coach to another 3-6 non-contender with an aging, legendary, sometimes cantankerous coach.

Sources told ESPN.com that the Philadelphia 76ers and Sacramento Kings, in considering the feasibility of a Samuel Dalembert-for-Kenny Thomas swap, have discussed expanding that concept with Boston by trying to draw in the Celtics on a potential three-way deal that would land Andres Nocioni with the Celts.
Sources further stressed over the past 48 hours that this should be classified as an ongoing conversation as the teams involved decide how much they like what’s on the table.
But the full deal as it stands, if it eventually gets that far, would send Nocioni to Boston, Kenny Thomas, Tony Allen and Brian Scalabrine to Philadelphia and Dalembert and J.R. Giddens to Sacramento.
