首場比賽 - 葡萄牙 2-1 香港
1st match - Portugal 2-1 HKG
在首場比賽我們以 5-4-1 迎戰，希望以防守性踢法取得成績，以及以定位球和特別事件取得入球
我們在比賽初段憑角球頂入 1 球，可惜下半場失了 2 球
在大雨下對手的力量型前鋒得到天氣幫助表現，而我們的力量型後衛 (和入替的中場) 沒有從中得到幫助，某個程度上為主隊帶來幫助
at 1st match we set up 5-4-1, tried to play defensively and using set-piece and special events to claim goals
we got an early goal from corner + head event, but concede 2 goals in 2nd half
in rainy field their POWERFUL forward got boosted by weather event, but our POWERFUL defender (and sub-in midfielders) didn't enjoy weather event, somehow making home team in advantage

我們取得 3 個入球，不過有 1 個是 速度 邊鋒 特別事件，另有一球十二碼
取得作客勝仗後，我們處身於小組的中游
At 2nd game we played an aggressive 3-5-2 lineup, despite we were in another away match
Both sides split midfield possession, and HKG got slight advantage thanks to more balanced performance
We hit 3 goals, but 1 is Quick Winger SE, and 1 is penalty
After bagged this away win, we are not in middle of Group 9

3rd match - HKG 3-0 Rossiya
經過 2 場客場後我們終於回到主場，迎戰 2 戰全勝的 俄羅斯
對手排出 PiC 3-5-2 Normal 及用上 4IM + TECH fw DEF
我們實力上處於下風，所以使用賭博性極高的 Normal 3-4-3 AIM 藉 4IM + 3FW 強行爆破對方中路防線
比賽以對主隊有利的方向進行，在上半場我們把握僅有的攻勢取得 1-0 領先，而雙方中場比率非常接近
下半場開賽不久 俄羅斯 加強中場不過放棄 W off 企圖搶得更多機會
不過 香港 在中段再以中路搶入一球後，就收起前鋒換入中場，及後更收起另一前鋒換入後衛
在比賽尾段我們再入一球十二碼，以 3-0 鎖定勝局
本週賽事結果令形勢相當混亂
榜首 墨西哥 竟在客場對榜尾 沙地阿拉伯 全失 3 分
而 葡萄牙 主場被 威爾斯 逼和各失 2 分
所以之後的比場可說是場場硬仗
Finally we come back to homecourt after 2 away games, facing strong Rossiya team who won 2 games in a row
They played PiC 3-5-2 Normal, picked 4IM + TECH fw DEF
We are weaker team, thus made a gamble, playing Normal 3-4-3 AIM, trying to use 4IM + 3 FW punching their central defence
The game went to the way home team wished for, we seized the only attack in 1st half and led 1-0, and possession is nearly equally divided
Not long time after half-time, Rossiya strengthened midfield by sacrificed W off, targetting more chances
However HKG once again grabbed a goal in central attack, then using a midfield to replace a forward, later sub another forward off as placing 1 more defender in pitch
We scored a penalty before full-time, locked the victory at scoreline 3-0
Results from this week making the group in a mess
Group leader Mexico lost all 3 points at bottom-place team Saudi Arabia
And Portugal drawn Cymru (Wales) at home, both dropped 2 points
As we see every game coming would be difficult

They played 17-18yo youngsters in last U20 World Cup, so their current players have experience advantage among this Group

俄羅斯 摸和 墨西哥 對客隊來講是一個不錯的結果，而本週過後 波蘭 將優勢拋開至 5 分
A boring match as both side played extremely cautious, playing CA and try to seize 1 chance to KO opponent
At the end neither team could put the ball into the net, and both teams dropped 2 points
It's not a bad result that we got 1 pt in an away game, and we got PiC so can improve TS
Rossiya drew México is not a bad result for the away team, and after this round Polska extended advantage to 5pts

賽前雙方皆 4 戰 7 分，而主隊有 TS 優勢，客隊則在賽前召入 2 名後衛
墨西哥 採取 5-4-1 3IM CA PiC 陣式，希望以單邊邊攻爭取入球
香港 則以 4-4-2 3IM Normal Normal 戰術，沒有在比賽初段已經狂攻
墨西哥 在上半場後段取得 1 個入球，客隊即時抽起左邊衛換入中場
香港 在下半場換走 1 個後衛打多 1 個前鋒，加強火力以求爭取更多入球
下半場初段 香港 藉 Quick 邊鋒的傳送追平，可惜之後前鋒 2 黃 1 紅
客隊 經驗不足 的事件在 89' 發生，而主隊未能因此取得優勢
1-1 對主隊來講是有點可惜，然而客隊的防守力足見他們有實力爭取出線資格
Both teams had 7pts in 4 games, home team got TS advantage, and away team enrolled 2 defenders before this match
México played 5-4-1 3IM CA PiC, hope using 1-side attack to seek for goals
HKG played 4-4-2 3IM Normal Normal, opt not to play gung-ho since the start of the game
México grabbed a goal near the end of 1st half, then immediately took out LB and played 1 more IM
HKG played 1 more FW in expense of 1 CD, try to maximize attacking power
Early in 2nd half HKG equalized thanks to a SE pass from Quick Winger, but a FW received 2nd caution and being sent off later
Away team did suffer from inexperience event, but as it happened at 89', home team couldn't take advantage on this
Home teams would be somehow disappointed by the 1-1 scoreline, however seeing their defensive strength we should agree that the away team is capable to challenge 2nd-spot

香港 放棄中場爭奪，擺出 5-3-2 1IM def PiC CA 戰術，希望靠堅韌防守及反擊機會取得入球
上半場 波蘭 的進攻及 香港 的反擊皆未能取得入球，悶和 0-0
下半場先有 香港 藉反擊取得入球，然而 波蘭 靠 神秘莫測 (14) 中攻 追平
雙方最終握手言和，我們作客 PiC 在榜首身上取得一分，球員表現實在值得表揚
Before the match Polska keeps 5 consecutive wins, and having high confidence after beaten Rossiya 4-1 in away venue
HKG just tied with México at home, dropped 2nd spot in the standing
Polska played fiercely, taken 3-4-3 4IM PiC Normal, based on homecourt and TS advantage to go aggressively
HKG gave up midfield and emptied it, opted for 5-3-2 1IM def PiC CA, wishing disciplined defence and rely on CA to score
In 1st half both side failed to score, ended 0-0
In 2nd half HKG scored via a CA chance, then Polska equalized from its supernatural (14) central attack
The match ended as 1-1 draw, we shall praise our players coz they managed to get a draw at away match, facing top team of the group

Please be reminded that the benckmark score in the spreadsheet below is just an approximation, and it NEVER serves as an absolute guide for U20 player selection
Player goes lower than benchmark score may be still elected if he serves well for U20 HKG team needs, though generally higher skill player is preferred
Decision of how U20 manager to pick players is depended on much particular factors and it's not easy to formulate

Away team caught the correct side of our strong wing attack, and their strong wing hits 3 goals and 1 indirect FK at 1st half already
After 2-0 HKG scored a penalty, but 1-4 at 1st half proved too much for HKG to reverse
Both side didn't scored in the 2nd half, and Portugal capped another away win
The result makes HKG in a much difficult position in chasing qualification, however in this group surprise is all over, Polska suffered 1st defeat in last week too

客隊先藉 CA 取得 1-0 領先，可幸我們在完半場前搏得十二碼追平
雙方各有機會再得入球，而我們憑比賽末段的入球反先 2-1 完場
這場勝仗對我們相當鼓舞，是我們首次再落後下反勝

we have to win to get closer to top 2 spot, and i believe our players can seize the chance to show this ability 首先我對自己這麼遲才更新 U20 情況，某程度上是因為香港在尚餘 2 場比賽情況下差不多肯定出局令自己無心戀戰
1st of all, i apologize for the late update, somehow got deflated as HKG got knocked out after 12th game

在第十二場比賽前，我們要出線就必先要作客擊敗 墨西哥
我們用上 5-3-2 CA 並希望我們的防守可以製造反擊機會爭取關鍵入球
戰術在上半場是成功的，我們在上半場以 1-0 領前，可惜他們在下半場先藉十二碼追平，再憑比賽尾段入球鎖定勝局
在這場敗仗後我們以 5 分落後 #2 及 #3 球隊，不過由於 葡萄牙 - 墨西哥 之後會相遇，所以他們會起碼得到 1 分
所以在第十三場比賽前我決定放棄爭取出線，讓 17~18 歲球員比賽汲取經驗值
最後 2 場我們都以 1-2 敗北，我承認我應該可以在輸予 厄瓜多爾 比賽做好一些去避免敗局
因為我們的 U20 隊伍排名現在是 #62~#69 位置，令我們下屆的賽程有一點不利因素
at 12th game, our only chance to fight for qualification is trying to win away in México
we played 5-3-2 CA and hope our tough defence would give us counter attack to clutch winner
the tactics worked in 1st half, we led 1-0 in 1st half, however they levelled via a 2nd-half penalty and scored another goal before game ended
after the lose we were 5pts away from both 2nd and 3rd rank team with 2 games left, and the Portugal - México matchup means they must get at least 1 point
so before 13th game i decided to give up chasing qualification and let 17~18yo players playing to absorb experience points
for last 2 games we lost 1-2 also, however i admit i should have done better in avoiding loss against Ecuador
coz now our ranking point will stick to the rank at #62~#69, which may give our fixture in next campaign more difficult

在接著 6 週我們會參與 U20 亞洲盃，頭 3 場我們會在分組賽中立場對戰 印度 也門 及 阿曼
我希望我們的年青小將可以從友賽中汲取經驗
we've played a friendly game hosting Việt Nam, unfortunately we lost 0-1
in these 6 weeks we'll participate in U20 Asia Cup, and for starting 3 weeks we are in group stage with India, Al Yaman and Oman, playing at neutral ground
what i hope is our youth stars can be more experienced during the friendlies a small update
i'm checking skill for young players having potential to play for U20
it's a lengthy work for me, and i've spend 2 weekends on it already
as we know the training speed will accelerate in next season, making selection of U20 players being more complex, esp. how to set a better selection criteria
so i have to be more cautious in announcing my final squad preparing for next season, and it may be a good news for you coz i won't close the door to players who has been kept training properly in mainskill...
anyway i hope all managers would support U20 HKG by regularly submit ur players' data here
