The former Manchester United player has been out of contract since leaving Old Trafford at the end of last season, and is now uploading videos showing him undertaking various exercises.
It was feared for some time that his career may be over after his time at United was plagued by tendinitis in both knees, causing him severe problems and resulting in him making only 39 appearances in his four years with the club.
The 30-year-old moved to Old Trafford in 2007 for a fee of ￡17 million and won the Champions League in his first season, but has barely played in the last three years after a series of serious injuries.
The Canadian-born midfielder's videos are reminiscent of former team-mate Michael Owen's attempt to secure a club in 2009.
