So there are a few suggestions that Anelka could be breezing into The Hawthorns over the summer to come and play for Clarke’s West Bromwich Albion as they look for a replacement for Romelu Lukaku, back at Chelsea after his blistering loan spell with the Baggies last season. We’ll see.

Tottenham may have swooped in ahead of London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea for two Croatian wonderkids, according to The Sun. Dinamo Zagreb pair Alen Halilovic and Tin Jedvaj are on the brink of a move to White Hart Lane, with Andre Villas-Boas believed to be close to wrapping up a £17 million deal for the pair. Halilovic, an attacking midfielder, and Jedvaj, a central defender, are both 17.
Dinamo Zagreb president Mirko Barisic believes it will be wrapped up soon and has backed Halilovic to become a better player than his compatriot Luka Modric, a one-time White Hart Lane favourite.
"A lot of people have compared him to Luka Modric - but he’s better than Luka was at this age," he says. No pressure there, then.
