Paris Saint Germain centre-back, Marquinhos has made his future intentions loud and clear following a week of speculation linking him to Barcelona, stating that his desire is to leave the Ligue 1 champions for Barcelona this summer.
In an interview with Catalan radio station, RAC1, Marquinhos stressed that PSG aren’t nearly at the same level as Barcelona and that his desire is to play at the Camp Nou.
“My desire is to play for Barça.I want to play for Barça, not for PSG.Barça is better than PSG, they’re a great team, and it’s my dream to play there next season.”
Marquinhos went on to add that his Brazilian compatriot, Neymar has also fueled his desire to make the move to Barcelona.
“They’re a big club, with a very good style of play and Neymar has told me that he lives very well in Barcelona.”
Marquinhos has made his intentions very clear and it will now come down to Paris Saint Germain and Barcelona to work out a transfer agreement, which could be upwards of €35 million, or Dani Alves and €20 million for the 20-year-old Brazilian.
