German footballing legend and Bayern Munich’s honourary president, Franz Beckenbauer admitted that Toni Kroos is on his way to Real Madrid, stating that as a Bayern fan he is gutted to see the player leave but knows he can’t let the opportunity pass him by.
In a recent interview, Beckenbauer spoke about Kroos’ rumoured departure, unofficially confirmed the deal that will close following the 2014 World Cup.
“As the honourary president I’m gutted he’s leaving. If he does leave, we’ll have lost an extraordinary world-class player.
“There is a future in a professional’s career and if he wants to experience playing abroad, going to Real Madrid is priceless.”
