MARCO FU was delighted after beating John Higgins 5-1 to secure Bangkok’s
Asia/World Challenge.

It was the world No 16’s second tournament victory following last year’s
success in the Premier League final.

Fu admitted: “I’ve coped well with the pressure and I’m delighted to have
come out on top.”

Although Fu lost his opening group game against Thailand’s Atthasit
Mahitthi he recovered to beat Ken Doherty, Stephen Hendry and Ding Junhui.

Higgins said: “I started off OK then started missing easy balls — and
Marco never forgave me.”
