LONDON (Reuters) - Premier League Wigan Athletic have agreed an undisclosed fee with Wolverhampton Wanderers for Senegal international striker Henri Camara.
"Wolves have this morning confirmed that they have accepted an offer from newly-promoted Wigan Athletic for striker Henri Camara," the English second division club said on their website.
The 28-year-old has not played for Wolves since their relegation from the top flight in 2004 and spent last season on loan, first at Scottish side Celtic and then back in the Premier League with Southampton.
Wigan, promoted last season, host English champions Chelsea in their first match at the top level of English football on August 14.

English duo eye Scurto
West Ham and Sunderland are battling to try and sign Roma starlet Giuseppe Scurto.
The 21-year-old has shunned a new contract offer and Roma are set to let him leave and they would consider loan moves.
Both newly promoted sides are understood to have lodged loan offers for Scurto, who has just one-year left on his contract at The Stadio Olimpico.
There are other sides, including Napoli and Chievo, who are also looking to land Scurto - but one problem for all sides interested is that Roma's transfer ban is still in place, although the club are still hopeful of overturning it before transfer window closes at the end of this month.
Jenas could face Yeading
Newcastle midfielder Jermaine Jenas could figure in Saturday's St James' Park friendly against Yeading despite speculation that his Tyneside career is drawing to a close.
Boss Graeme Souness has admitted he faces a battle to keep the £15million-rated star who is feeling unsettled and could soon be heading for a move elsewhere.
Jenas' departure would come as a massive blow to the club who are teetering on the brink of a crisis before a Premiership ball has even been kicked.
Newcastle are already out of Europe and struggling to land replacements for the seven first teamers who have departed the club over the summer break.
Souness told the Newcastle Evening Chronicle: 'I have spoken to the player's agent and he tells me that JJ is quite happy with things at the football club.
'But he says JJ feels that it is like living in a goldfish bowl being a United player in Newcastle and that is the biggest problem.'
Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham and Middlesbrough have all been linked with the highly-rated England star and may now consider they have got the green light to make a move.
Rumours increased over Jenas' future when the England international was left out of Newcastle's Intertoto Cup semi-final second leg against Deportivo La Coruna on Wednesday night.
There were suggestions Souness and the player had been involved in a bust-up over a suggestion that Jenas provide cover at full-back if Stephen Carr failed to pass a late fitness test.
But Souness scotched such speculation insisting: 'JJ has not had a problem with me or any of the staff as far as I am aware.
'Nobody on the playing side, from the chairman down, wants JJ to leave.'
Souness told Newcastle's official website: 'Last year JJ played more games than anyone apart from Shay Given and I made him captain when Alan Shearer was out so that shows what I think of him.'
One of Souness' three summer signings, Craig Moore, is expected to make his debut against Yeading tomorrow in a promised rematch of the FA Cup third-round tie in London last January.
And there could also be a debut for Inter Milan left-back Coco who is close to agreeing terms for a move to St James' Park.
Scott Parker and Emre - who particularly impressed against Deportivo - will also play. But there will be no new striker on show with moves for Nicolas Anelka and Luis Boa Morte still apparently at deadlock.

No Manchester City move for Malbranque
Manchester City have ended their interest in Fulham midfielder Steed Malbranque following the London club's rejection of their latest offer.
Fulham said on their official website: "Fulham Football Club can now announce that a second increased bid from Manchester City for its French midfielder Steed Malbranque has been turned down.
"After conversations with the Manager Chris Coleman, the player had also decided that he would prefer to remain with the SW6 Club.
"The Club is delighted with the player's commitment to the new campaign."
City spokesperson Rosie Bass said: "The player has indicated that he wishes to stay with Fulham and our interest in him has now ended."

MIKOLANDA SIGNS FOR HAMMERS
CZECH striker Petr Mikolanda has signed for the Hammers after impressing on trial at the Club.
Mikolanda starred for Hammers during the early stages of their pre-season campaign to earn a contract at Upton Park.
Strong and athletic with an eye for goal, Petr took his chance on the Hammers pre-season tour of Sweden, scoring twice in the final game of the tour against Vastra Frolunda, which West Ham won 3-0.
On his return to England with the Hammes Petr was again quickly into the action, scoring a well-taken goal as West Ham United drew 2-2 in a friendly against Yeovil Town.
The 20-year-old striker is a Czech Under-21 international and scored 13 goals in the Czech League for Prague based club Viktoria Zizkow last season.
A hard-working player, Petr will be hoping to gain plenty of experience at Upton Park this season in the hope of making his first-team breakthrough soon.
Petr said: "I am very happy to have signed at West Ham United.
"Teddy Sheringham was my hero when I was growing up. I remember watching his goal against Bayern Munich in the Champions League Final.
"I never dreamed that I would meet him, let alone be training alongside him. It's a fairytale."

The agent of Southampton winger Fabrice Fernandes has revealed that Bolton Wanderers are interested in the 25-year-old Frenchman.
Fernandes' agent Willie McKay told Sky Sports: "I have spoken to a few clubs including Bolton about Fabrice.
"Fabrice is a very good player and he good addition for any squad in The Premiership.
"He is available on a free transfer and he has an agreement with Rupert Lowe to let him leave and Harry Redknapp will not stand in his way if he moves on.
"Fabrice is keen to be playing in The Premiership and I have been speaking to Sam Allardyce and he is interested in him."

Following David Bentley's transfer request, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that he is prepared to sell the forward.
Wenger told his club's official website: "It is the risk of giving a player out on loan in the Premiership. When he comes back he has had a taste for it. He thinks 'I will not be able to get the number of games I got last year'. Then he becomes impatient and nervous about the situation.
"I understand it because David plays basically on the flanks or as a second striker for us. On the flanks we have Reyes, Hleb, Pires and Ljungberg. Up front we have Reyes, Henry, Bergkamp, Van Persie and Quincy. When you want to put players in you realise we have a big squad. It is a young squad but a big squad. So I am prepared to let him go.
"It was the same situation with Matthew Upson and Jermaine Pennant. The requested level is not to be a good player, it is to be a world-class player because you have a world-class player in front of you. It is competition.
"Is he in front of Reyes, Pires, Ljungberg, Hleb? In my opinion no but if I am wrong I am completely happy.
"I feel the fact that I am honest goes against me . I can say 'you are staying because you are a home-grown player, English and the whole media will be against me if I let another home-grown player go'.
"But it is about David Bentley making a career, whether it is here or somewhere else. And remember if he does make a career somewhere else then it is down to Arsenal too."
