Nihat makes Moscow moveCSKA Moscow have sealed the signing of Turkish striker Nihat according to reports in the Russian media.
The Uefa Cup champions were locked in a battle with Valencia for the Real Sociedad star, although they appear to have won the race with a reported bid of €19.7 million.
Nihat has long been touted for a summer exit from Estadio Anoeta, although previously indicated that he would find it hard to move to the emerging football league of Russia.
The 25-year-old had been sidelined after tearing the cruciate ligament in his left knee in February, although passed a medical in Germany this week leaving CSKA doctors happy with his condition.
Real Sociedad are yet to confirm the sale of their star striker, although he has reportedly penned a four-year deal with CSKA in what will be seen as a significant coup for the capital club.
It is thought that Sociedad have earmarked some of the transfer fee from Nihat's sale for Racing Santander midfielder Yossi Benayoun.
The Israel international is understood to be a target for a host of teams both in Spain and England, but a Russian team is also on his trail and are believed to be the only ones to have submitted a formal offer.
However, Sociedad look likely to firm up their interest once a deal for Nihat has been sealed.
