Rafa's press conference plans - Chelsea fail to hi-jack deal
Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez today revealed that he's set to parade two more of his new signings once all the paperwork is rubber-stamped and out of the way.
Rafa also revealed that another club (Chelsea) failed to hi-jack the Sissoko signing despite their bags of wealth.
"We hope to finalise all the details today and present Sissoko and Reina at a press conference," said the boss.
"We have been talking with the player since we knew he was available and once we made our move for him we knew how much he wanted to play for us. We also knew it would be difficult to sign him because Everton and another club (Chelsea) wanted him.
"I'm delighted he chose Liverpool because he is a good player for the present and the future of the club. He has played right-back but that is not his best position. I see him as a strong central midfielder.
"He plays a high energy game with a high tempo. He's young, he's not bad on the ball and he will improve the balance of our team. He's had two good years with Valencia where he has won trophies. I know him well and he's a very good player."

No more Nunez for Reds
Tuesday 12 Jul 2005
Rafael Benitez has revealed Antonio Nunez has probably played his last match for Liverpool.
The Spanish midfielder struggled to adapt to the demands of English football after moving to Anfield as the makeweight in the deal that saw Michael Owen join Real Madrid last summer.
With Mohamed Sissoko, Boudewijn Zenden and Mark Gonzalez all arriving on Merseyside to bolster the Reds' midfield, Benitez has decided he no longer needs Nunez and plans to offload him to a Spanish club.
"I've spoken to Nunez and explained we've tried to find a club for him," the Liverpool boss told the club's official website.
"But at the moment we haven't had the right offer. Celta Vigo are interested but there are other options."
Nunez started just eight Premiership matches last season, but has a Champions League winner's medal to show for his time at Anfield after he was an unused substitute during Liverpool's dramatic final success against AC Milan.
