巴頓既前途會係星期三決定
Stuart Pearce says that Manchester City will make a decision on JoeyBarton's future on Wednesday.
Barton was sent home from City's pre-season tour of Thailand on Friday after
an altercation with a teenager and team-mate Richard Dunne in a hotel bar.
It is not the first time Barton has found himself in hot water, and many
believe it could be the final straw for City officials.
Pearce says that they took the decision to send him back to England
immediately, but insists no decision on his long-term future at Eastlands
has been decided yet.
Pearce will meet with the club chairman John Wardle on Wednesday after
letting the dust settle, when a decision will be made on Barton's future at
the club.
"His behaviour was not in keeping with how I want players of mine to
behaviour and it was a quite straightforward decision basically," Pearce
told Sky Sports News.
"I'll have a chat with the chairman on the Wednesday we get back, we arrive
on Monday and I'll probably go and see my family, the players will spend
time with their families and then I'll speak to the chairman on Wednesday.
"I think the beauty of it is we've not really made a rash decision. We've
made an early decision in respect of sending him home as we thought that was
the right thing to do.
"It's given me two, three, four days to sit on it and think about it and
obviously the chairman and the board have got time to reflect on the
situation and hopefully whatever decision we chose to make it will be the
right one for the football club."
Despite the incident, Pearce insists their trip to the Far East has been a
successful preparation for the season ahead.
"I honestly don't think it's been a bad week for the football club, if you
put that one aside.
"There's a lot of young players that have come here and had the opportunity
to play with senior players and pay against very good players.
"Our first game was a very good workout and we'll go back ready to finalise
preparations for the new season." 曼城邊捨得飛out佢:icon126:
