Rovers close on Shearer

Bristol Rovers have agreed a deal with Coventry City for goalkeeper Scott Shearer.
The former Albion Rovers custodian is expected to sign a two-year deal with the League Two club after being made available by The Sky Blues at the end of last season.
The 24-year-old found himself out of favour at Highfield Road last term, having had recent loan spells with League Two rivals Rushden & Diamonds.
The deal - subject to a medical - will allow Pirates boss Ian Atkins to have quality competition for fellow keeper Ryan Clarke and young custodian Martin Horsell.
