曼聯負於鹿島鹿角一仗，李奧費迪南及雲尼斯杜萊出現激烈爭執。

雲尼斯杜萊斥責李奧在落後時停球在腳，錯失進攻機會，在賽事完結後兩人更互相指責。

李奧費迪南亦因未與球會續約而被球迷喝倒彩。

而「雲佬」在亞洲之旅三仗未入一球，在多場賽事中均見他開始急躁。

賽後領隊費格遜表示：「經過首數分鐘後，己隊控制了大局，不過我們錯失了極多機會，不過我都對球隊演出感到滿意。」

「希望在歐冠杯己隊不會再這樣錯失入球機會。」

而李奧在日本被一些球迷喝倒采其間，向球迷做出 V 手勢而被傳媒批評。

不過，隊友阿倫史密夫則力撐李奧，並認為他一定會續約留在曼聯
