Arsene Wenger could be set to replace FA Cup final hero Jens Lehmann, after the Arsenal boss admitted that he is interested in signing Uruguayan goalkeeper Sebastian Viera.
Lehmann gave a match-winning performance in the FA Cup final against Manchester United, becoming the hero in the penalty shoot-out by saving Paul Scholes' spot kick.
However, the German suffered an inconsistent season that saw him lose his place to rookie goalkeeper Manuel Almunia, and it now it appears that Wenger is ready to resolve his crisis position, with the signing of 22-year-old Viera.
"Viera is one of the options. It is true we are interested in him but the deal is far from done," Wenger told The Daily Mirror.
"If we find a player we want then we will go for him, but I am happy with the young players we have."
Viera currently plays in Uruguay for Nacional, and he attracted interest from Italian side Roma after his performance in the last Copa America, where he made some outstanding saves to help his country into the semi-finals. 邊隊嫁 冇左Vieira就想要Viera:icon101:

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed his interest in bringing Uruguay international goalkeeper Sebastien Viera to Highbury.
The 22-year-old, who plays for Nacional Montevideo, is highly rated and could take over from the inconsistent Jens Lehmann as the Gunners' number one.
Wenger said: "Viera is one of the options. It is true we are interested in him but the deal is far from done."
Lehmann and Manuel Almunia failed to convince in goal for Arsenal last term.
