James Beattie insists that Everton will give everything to overturn a 2-1 deficit in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League qualification tie against Villarreal.
Everton's hopes of reaching the Champions League proper have been dealt a crippling blow by a 2-1 defeat at Goodison Park, but Beattie believes that The Toffees can cause a shock in the return leg.
"The lads are pretty disappointed," Beattie told Sky Sports News. "But by no means is this tie over.
"We've got to go to Spain in a few weeks and give it everything we've got.
"I think we started off pretty well. For half an hour we got about them and I don't think they liked it very much.
"They broke away, they had one chance and it was an excellent finish by their number 9 (Luciano Figueroa).
"They played very well, and Riquelme and Forlan were excellent.
"They played very well as a team but I think we played well too and can take some positives from tonight and maybe use them in the return leg."
