熱刺為收購JJ,放棄簡路迪

TOTTENHAM are selling Fredi Kanoute to Spanish side Seville in a £6million deal today to give them the money to buy Jermaine Jenas.

Chairman Daniel Levy gave the go-ahead for Kanoute to speak to the Spanish club, who want to pair him up front with on-loan Barcelona star Javier Saviola.

Kanoute was initially reluctant to go to La Liga because of the racist element among some Spanish clubs, but the chance to play for a side with Champions League ambitions has persuaded him.

Levy has been trying to buy Jenas for weeks and threw Kanoute and Robbie Keane into possible exchange deals, but they were rebuffed by the Geordies. But straight cash - and an offer of £10m - should now see Spurs finally get their man

Sevilla have signed Tottenham striker Fredi Kanoute for £4.4 million

The Spanish side have moved to bring the Mali international to La Liga on a four-year deal.

Sevilla have been searching for a new striker to replace Julio Baptista and they feel Kanoute will be an ideal replacement for the Brazilian.

Kanoute's future has been the subject of intense speculation all summer with the likes of West Ham and Newcastle linked with his services.

The former Lyon ace had claimed that Spurs were trying to offload him against his will and now Sevilla have moved to tie up a deal for his services.

Kanoute will form a formidable forward line with Javier Saviola for Sevilla next term.
