ROBINSON JOINS BAY
Arngrove Northern League club Whitley Bay have signed former Newcastle United striker Paul Robinson.
Robinson is perhaps best remembered in his time at Newcastle for once being preferred to Alan Shearer by then boss Ruud Gullit in an infamous match against Sunderland.
He then moved to Wimbledon for 1.5m, before going on to play for Burnley, Dundee United, Grimsby, Carlisle and Blackpool, before moving to Hartlepool and, most recently, Nationwide Conference National side York City.
