Juventus invite Arsenal bid for Del Piero

Juventus will invite Arsenal to bid for Alessandro del Piero in January.

Juve plan to offer £5 million plus Adrian Mutu and Giorgio Chiellini to AS Roma for striker Antonio Cassano when the winter market opens over Christmas.

With Cassano's arrival, Juve director general Luciano Moggi will seek a buyer for Del Piero, who is already unsettled in Turin.

The Italy international favours a move to London and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been a long-term admirer, who sees Del Piero as a natural successor to Dennis Bergkamp.
