Lux not worried by defeat
Real Madrid boss Wanderley Luxemburgo says he is not worried by his side's 3-0 UEFA Champions League defeat at Lyon.
The Spanish were blown away by a superb performance from the French champions, as three goals in ten first half minutes from John Carew, Juninho Pernambucano and Sylvain Wiltord saw Lyon to victory.
The former Brazil manager felt if his side could have scored early on, the match at Stade Gerland might have been different.
"I'm not worried because I thought we played good football," Luxemburgo said.
"We played a lot better than we did against Celta Vigo. The problem was that we didn't score.
"Their first two chances were goals but it's not luck, it's efficiency.
"They're a very good team with a great midfield and a fantastic set piece expert in Juninho."
His Lyon counterpart in former Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier was full of praise for his side after a superb European performance.
"It was a spectacular match," said Houllier. "It was a close match in the first half and we had luck on our side at crucial moments.
"Real obviously kept pushing after the break but we reacted extremely well to that, defending well and committing very few mistakes.
"Overall, we played a very good match."
