Dein confident over Henry dealArsenal vice-chairman David Dein is confident Thierry Henry will stay at the club.
Henry has been linked with a possible move to Barcelona, with the Spanish giants reported to be keeping tabs on his situation at Highbury.
The Frenchman has two years to run on his current contract and Arsenal are keen to tie him down to a new long-term deal.
Dein revealed that the club are set to open talks with Henry over an extension soon and that he would like to see the former Juventus man end his career in North London.
"We will be entering into negotiations very shortly," Dein told Radio Five.
"Everyone would like a Thierry Henry in their team. We've got him and intend to keep him.
"He is a world-class player. We will do everything we can to make sure he stays here until the end of his career.
"I am quietly confident he will remain here.
"Any time a player goes into negotiations, invariably right at that moment, other clubs come into the mix to make life a bit more spicy."
