Inter ponder Di Michele swoop

The latest reports in Italy have suggested that Inter are interested in buying Udinese striker David Di Michele.
The skilful 30-year-old has been in and out of the Friuli side this season and is enjoying a current run of games primarily as a result of the injury to Vincenzo Iaquinta.
Rumours of dressing-room unrest have been rife this season with Di Michele having had his differences with both Coach Serse Cosmi and fellow striker Antonio Di Natale.
The Roman centre-forward was linked with a move to Roma in the summer, where the prospect of teaming up with last season’s Udinese boss Luciano Spalletti led to revelations that Di Michele was desperate to leave the Friuli side for the capital.
Now, though, it seems that the front-man has been targeted by the Nerazzurri, who are keen for a striker with experience to cover for Obafemi Martins’ departure to the African Nations Cup and possibly that of new signing Victor Obinna as well.
Udinese are reported to have been offered Pierre Wome – who was surprised to have not been called up to play for Cameroon in the African Cup himself – in part-exchange.
The Friulani are in the market for a wide defender and Wome – who has not played much under Roberto Mancini – would bring some welcome experience to a side struggling against a downward spiral towards the lower end of the League table.
