'I was injected before 1993 final' - Ex-Marseille star
PARIS, Jan 21 (Reuters) - Former Olympique Marseille player Jean-Jacques Eydelie says he and several of his team mates received an injection before the 1993 Champions League final against AC Milan.'Before the final, we were asked to stand in a line in order to receive an injection,' Eydelie was quoted as saying by French sports weekly L'Equipe Magazine.
'(Former German international) Rudi Voeller was the only one to kick up a fuss. He went on yelling at everyone in the changing room, speaking in his mother language,' Eydelie said.
Marseille beat Milan 1-0 to become the first French club to lift Europe's top club trophy.
Eydelie did not provide any details about the substance injected into the players but said he felt physically weird during the match.
'I had a dry mouth during the game. My body didn't react like it used to. I didn't know what it was supposed to do to me.
'Actually the stuff inhibited me more than anything else. It was the first and last time I agreed to take something,' he said.
Midfielder Eydelie, who is now out of a job, was also involved in the Valenciennes-Marseille match-fixing scandal which rocked French soccer in May 1993.
Eydelie confessed he secretly gave money to the wife of the Valenciennes player Christophe Robert in an attempt to fix a league match.
Marseille beat Valenciennes 1-0 away and clinched their fifth consecutive title.
After the bribery was revealed by Valenciennes player Jacques Glassmann, Marseille were stripped of their title and demoted to the second division.

路透羅馬電---AC米蘭(相關新聞 - 網站)副主席加利亞尼(Adriano Galliani)要求歐足聯(UEFA)調查1993年冠軍杯決賽前馬賽球員接受注射一事。
法國體育周刊《隊報》周六援引前馬賽球員埃德里(Jean-Jacques Eydelie)的說法稱︰「在決賽前，我們被要求排隊接受一劑注射。」
據埃德里說，唯一拒絕注射的是前德國國腳沃勒爾(禾拉)。
馬賽在決賽中1-0擊敗AC米蘭，成為首家捧起歐洲冠軍杯的法國俱樂部(球會)。
「我們相信UEFA將會調查此事。如果他們沒有調查，我們AC米蘭會正式提起請求，」加利亞尼在AC米蘭網站中表示。
埃德里的說法令馬賽當時不光彩的歷史更蒙上陰影。
馬賽當時擊敗AC米蘭後不到24小時，新聞報導就指稱該隊此前擊敗瓦朗謝訥隊(Valenciennes)鎖定法甲五連冠的比賽是踢假球。
馬賽當時被剝奪冠軍錦標，並被降到乙級(組)隊。同時被剝奪衛冕歐洲冠軍杯的權利。
「這應該是無風不起浪的事情，」加利亞尼談到這一新傳出的醜聞表示。
