skysports有新聞話nihat夏天去villarreal...guayre:o

Villarreal are reported to be closing on a deal that will see Turkish striker Nihat Kahveci join them in the summer.
Real Sociedad star Nihat seemed poised to leave the Basque outfit for Spartak Moscow during the transfer window, but Sociedad opted to veto the deal after losing Darko Kovacevic for the remainder of the season.
However, with his contract due to expire at the end of the season, the Turk is entitled to talk to interested parties regarding a free transfer move.
Spartak are still keen on the 26-year-old, but the player himself would prefer to remain in Spain and could now get that chance with Villarreal.
Nihat's agent Luis Puebla has held progressive talks with the Yellow Submarines and believes an agreement could be reached in the near future.
"I have spoken with (Villarreal director general) Jose Manuel Llaneza and the positions are very advanced," Puebla explained.
"However, we cannot announce an agreement yet."
Nihat has refused to discuss the matter himself, but Villarreal striker Diego Forlan has spoken in glowing terms about the former Besiktas man and believes he would be a valuable addition at El Madrigal.
"He is a great forward and would do much to strengthen us," Forlan declared. guayre 一早要走啦:icon116: 原帖由 taihei 於 2006-1-2707:42 PM 發表

加里西亞紅人專訪
Exclusive Interview With Fabián CanobbioFabián Canobbio is enjoying an impressive season with Celta Vigo, but he is unhappy that the Galician club is dubbed as 'el revelación' of the league. The Uruguayan midfielder has his sights set on a European place and in an exclusive interview with Goal.com he talks openly about the Balaidos-based club and his hopes for the campaign.
Goal.com: Celta are well placed in the table and are just three points behind Real Madrid, who are in the final Champions League position. Has the club achieved its goals or are you aiming even higher?
Canobbio: Our first target is to ensure that we stay up. We are taking each game as it comes and our first aim is secure the points that will mean that we spend at least another season in La Primera. Once that has been achieved, it is obvious that we will not relax and we will begin to fight to be as high as possible.
Goal.com: Baiano, Placente, Javi Guerrero...the club has certainly attracted some big names this season. For a newly-promoted teamthat means things are changing, does it not?
Canobbio: I do not think that anything has changed. Celta have been had a very strong team for the last decade and have been up there with the best and have qualified regularly for Europe. I think that last season in the second division was a blip and that the club has come out of it stronger. What happens with signing players is a logical continuation of a long-term project at the club.
Goal.com: On a personal level, you made your name with Peñarol in Uruguay and joined Valencia. What happened at the Mestalla that saw your career falter?
Canobbio: When I moved to Valencia they had a huge squad. There were several players for each position and, unfortunately for me, the coach (Rafa Benítez) had not asked for me to be signed and that made it much more difficult for me to enter into his plans. I played a few minutes, but now I am at Celta where I am enjoying things and can show what I am capable of.
Goal.com: What is the relationship between the team and Fernando Vázquez like, is he as nervous as he looks? What role has the coach played in rebuilding the team?
Canobbio: I do not think that the coach is nervous, but he is very intense about the game and that is good. His role has been important, very important. We must not forget that he achieved promotion with the team and, now that we are in the first division, he has put us in the frame for a European place. At the moment, I think that his performance has been outstanding.
Goal.com: You arrived at Celta just after the team had been relegated, only a year since they qualified for the Champions League, and after a long struggle for a place at Valencia. What were you thinking at the time?
Canobbio: It was a real challenge because we had to play in La Segunda, a level I had never experienced. I decided to join because Celta proved that they really wanted me. I knew that we would bounce back up to the first division and, like I said before, this was just a blip. A team with the potential here should never have gone down, we all knew that. Everything went well from the moment I arrived. I played a lot, had the confidence of the coach and recaptured my best form. I was certainly not the star of the team as there were already many here, like Jesús Perera, who joined us later on and scored some crucial goals.
Goal.com: Looking at the present, you have already scored five goals for the team this season in the first division. Is this the best moment of your career?
Canobbio: Things are going really well at the moment, but it is not the best moment of my career. That moment has yet to arrive and I hope that it is with Celta. A player grows over time and I am gaining experience and learning and improving all the time.
Goal.com: We know that you are enjoying life in Vigo, but if a foreign club made a very attractive offer which league would you most like to play in and will you ever return to play in Uruguay?
Canobbio: My family and I are very happy here. Vigo is a good place to live, we are very comfortable. I do not consider leaving here. If I ever had to it would be because Celta needed me to or they wanted me out.
Goal.com: You will not be playing in the World Cup this summer after Uruguay missed out in the qualifiers. What does that mean for a country like Uruguay and do you think playing for Celta has improved your chances of representing your country?
Canobbio: Football is very strong and the people are passionate about it in Uruguay and not qualifying was very tough. But that is football. We have a strong national team, but we are not going. As for being called up one day to the side, well, I cannot deny that I long for that moment, but I also realise there is a lot of competition, but I do not discard it. I am young and I hope that my moment will arrive sooner or later if I continue playing at this level.
Goal.com: With the Christmas and New Year celebrations still fresh in the memory, if Goal.com were to grant you one wish, what would that be?
Canobbio: To qualify for Europe and to play in the Champions League, although I would make do with playing in the Uefa Cup first. I want to help Celta qualify for Europe again.
Goal.com: Thank you, Fabián Canobbio.
