Chelsea Eye Toure Premiership champions Chelsea have joined Lyon, Juventus and Arsenal in considering making a bid for Olympiacos midfielder Yaya Toure.

The 22-year-old, on international duty with Ivory Coast at the African Nations Cup, is the brother of Arsenal’s Kolo, and has been characterized by his international team-mate Didier Drogba as the new Patrick Vieira.

“Yaya Toure is the new Vieira. He has exactly the same body type, is tall and strong and has great technique. I have spoken to Jose about him.” Drogba said of Toure.

The young Ivorian played down the link, mentioning that he prefers North London to Mourinho’s squad.

“Although it is great to hear Didier talk about me in this way, it is difficult to beat playing alongside your brother.”
