Tacchinardi extends loan deal with Villarreal
(REUTERS) 20 Apr 2006

Italian midfielder Alessio Tacchinardi has extended his loan deal with Villarreal until the end of next season, the club said on Thursday.

The 30-year-old joined Villarreal on a one-year loan from Juventus last July after 11 seasons with the Serie A side.

After a difficult start at Villarreal the former international has earned himself a place in the centre of midfield alongside Marcos Senna and has played an important part in their run to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

Tacchinardi was booked during the 1-0 defeat by Arsenal on Wednesday and will miss next week's second leg.
