McClaren calls up striker Nugent

David Nugent has been called-up into the England squad for the first time to replace the injured Darren Bent.
The Preston striker was named in the Under-21 squad to face Italy at Wembley, but following Bent's withdrawal, will now join up with the seniors as they prepare to face Israel and Andorra.
Nugent has been in excellent form for his club, scoring 16 goals in all competitions. He has also found the net three times for the Under-21s this season, his most recent being in the 2-2 draw with Spain last month.
