Frankfurt date for Turkey opener
Turkey will play their UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifying Group C home game against Malta on 6 September behind closed doors at the Commerzbank Arena in Frankfurt, Germany.Neutral venue
Under a FIFA disciplinary ruling, Turkey must play their next three competitive home matches behind closed doors at a neutral venue, following incidents at their FIFA World Cup qualifying play-off second leg against Switzerland in Istanbul last November. Turkey's forthcoming qualifiers against Moldova on 11 October and Norway on 28 March next year are also subject to the FIFA ruling.
