Sonko gets Senegal call
Reading defender Ibrahim Sonko is one of the four uncapped players called to the Senegal squad for a 16 August friendly against the Ivory Coast.The other three are Russia-based defender Pascal Mendy, striker Ibrahima Sidibe and French-born teenager Mame Ndiaye.
Ndiaye played one game for French club Olympique Marseille last season.
Senegal coach Henri Kasperczak also gave a surprise recall to goalkeeper Khadim Faye, who has not played for the national side in over a decade.
Faye, who plays for Portuguese side Boavista, won his last cap for his country in a World Cup qualifier against Togo in June 1996.
The match serves as preparation for both countries, who begin the qualifiers for the 2008 African Nations Cup finals in September.
