新浪體育訊 北京時間9月8日，澳大利亞超級聯賽展開第三輪的激烈爭奪。中國球員曲聖卿所在的阿德萊德聯隊回到主場辛得馬什球場後發揮神勇，以5-1狂屠新城堡聯隊，終止了連續兩場客場失敗的頹勢。面對前兩輪一平一負的新城堡聯隊，曲聖卿銳不可當，他在第28分鐘和第66分鐘獨進兩球，成為本隊獲勝最大功臣之一。
比賽日的天氣並不理想，風雨交加，不過阿德萊德聯隊從一開場就控制了局勢。雖然由於糟糕的天氣只有不到9千觀眾前來觀戰，但鐵桿球迷仍然掛上了「歡迎你回來」的中文橫幅歡迎曲聖卿的歸來。上半場開場不到兩分鐘，阿德萊德聯隊右路傳中，曲聖卿巧妙地將球漏給後面的鋒線老搭檔雷奇，可惜雷奇越位在先，錯過了這次單刀破門的良機。第五分鐘，曲聖卿發出高質量的左邊角球，皮球越過門將，可惜後點的隊友未能接到。全場都發出一片嘆息聲。兩分鐘後，曲聖卿又在禁區右路製造出任意球機會，曲聖卿並沒有親自主罰，而是站在禁區內搶點。隊友開出任意球，雷奇前點前點搶點破門。阿德萊德聯隊終於贏得了本賽季的首個入球。第18分鐘，阿德萊德聯隊在禁區前沿再次獲得任意球機會，隊長阿洛伊西距球門30米大力施射，皮球集中橫樑後被隊友18號科特維特頭球補射空門命中。2:0領先的阿德萊德聯隊隊取得本賽季首勝已是十拿九穩。第24分鐘，曲聖卿在禁區弧附近巧妙做球，隊友攻入球門遠角，但可惜越位在先被判無效。第27分鐘，曲聖卿在禁區前沿被對手放倒，這次曲聖卿親自主罰，皮球繞過人牆直飛球門左下角，門將對此鞭長莫及。曲聖卿終於取得了返回澳超的首粒進球，而且是以非常精彩的方式。曲聖卿的這粒進球為阿德萊德聯隊鎖定勝局。上半場以3：0結束。
中場休息時，阿德萊德聯隊主教練科斯米納在接受福克斯電視台採訪的時候笑容滿面，談到對鋒線非常滿意，上一場曲聖卿和雷奇由於在前場拿不到球都回撤得太厲害，本場比賽上半場比較好的解決了這一問題，而且他認為曲聖卿和雷奇是鋒線最佳搭檔，兩人配合的心有靈犀。
下半場第52分鐘，新城堡聯隊右路進攻得手扳回一城。進球後的客隊士氣大振，連連發起猛烈的攻勢。第63分鐘，曲聖卿再次發出高質量的角球守門員脫手，險些失球。兩分鐘後，曲聖卿反越位成功，在與後衛一對一的對抗中，曲聖卿利用身體倚住對手，在倒地前將球射出，球速雖然不是很快，但由於據球門太近，皮球還是緩緩地滾入大門(慢鏡頭顯示在曲聖卿出腳後，後衛試圖破壞的時候改變了皮球的軌跡，因此官方技術委員會將此粒進球判為烏龍球)。這粒進球也徹底打消了新城堡聯隊扳平的念頭。第72分鐘，雷奇再下一城，5：1。此時的新城堡聯隊已是兵敗如山倒。第81分鐘，曲聖卿再次為隊友漂亮做球，形成單刀，但由於隊友停球欠佳，被回追的後衛破壞。此後客隊由於個人能力欠佳未能把握住任何有威脅的進攻。終場比分鎖定在5：1。

Qu Shengqing (Simplified Chinese: 曲聖卿) (born June 5, 1975 in Shenyang, China) is a Chinese football (soccer) player who currently plays for Adelaide United FC in the Australian A-League.
Qu got his first taste of first team football with Liaoning FC. He soon excelled at the club and became one of the top strikers in China. Qu was the top goal scorer in the Chinese league in 1999 with 17 goals. Qu joined Shanghai Shenhua in 2000 and scored a total of 38 goals for the club during his 4 years there.
After a successful trial with Adelaide United in February 2005, Qu was quickly signed by the club in April of the same year. He scored his first goal in the A-League on September 18, 2005 in a 2-1 victory over Perth Glory. Qu soon established himself as a top striker in the A-League. He finished the season with 7 goals in 17 appearances for the club.
Qu went back to China after the season was over citing he and his family were homesick. He signed with Nanjing Yoyo of the Chinese Jia League in March 2006. After just 4 months in China and a string of poor performances, Qu signed with Adelaide United once again.
Qu has been capped 30 times for the Chinese national football team.

He is a tall, strong centre forward who had a prolific record in Chinese football. He is also a full international for China. He is known as the Chinese David Beckham.

Jamie McMaster (born November 29, 1982 in Sydney, Australia) is an Australian football (soccer) player who currently plays as a attacking midfielder for the Central Coast Mariners in the Australian A-League.
McMaster grew up in Gosford, a region on the Central Coast, and played football for Umina United. He began his professional career at FA Premier League club Leeds United in 1999 as a 16 year-old where he joined Harry Kewell and Mark Viduka in the fleet of Australians in the squad and committed his international future to England.
While at Leeds he began to be loaned around to smaller clubs within England. He was loaned to Coventry City in 2002 during the January transfer market, returned to Leeds in 2002 before being loaned to Swindon Town in the January transfer market for the remainder of the 2003-04 season. Upon returning to Leeds for the 2004-05 season he was once again loaned, this time to Chesterfield for the entire season.
McMaster once again returned and once again was loaned off, this time to Peterborough United. Upset with the amount of times he had been loaned out, McMaster requested he be transferred from Leeds while still on Peterborough's list. Following transfer negotiations McMaster moved to AGF Aarhus in Denmark for a very brief period of time before returning home and playing for the Central Coast Mariners, where he has remained since. 前格拉斯哥流浪後衛 Tony Vidmar
ony Vidmar (born July 4, 1970 in Adelaide) is an Australian football (soccer) player of Slovenian origin, currently playing with the Central Coast Mariners in the Australian A-League. He is a member of the Australian national team, competed at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona for his native country, and is currently Australia's third highest capped player. His brother Aurelio Vidmar was also an Australian football player.
Highly criticised as one of the main weak points in the Australian defence under Frank Farina's tenure, Guus Hiddink's appointment sparked a tremendous improvement in his performance, culminating in an impressive performance in the second leg of the World Cup qualifying tie against Uruguay. Vidmar notably volunteered to take his team mate Marco Bresciano's kick in the penalty shootout (after the latter had been substituted through injury). This was successfully converted, giving Australia a 3-1 lead, and they subsequently won 4-2 on penalties.
On the 9th May, 2006 Vidmar announced he was withdrawing himself from World Cup team selection for medical reasons, specifically an irregular heart rhythm . Doctors discovered this irregularity was due to a blood clot in his left coronary artery. Following an operation in London, Vidmar was given the all-clear to resume his professional football career. There was media speculation that, at the age of 36, he would retire from international competition, however on the 8th July, 2006 he publicly announced his intention to continue playing for Australia.

Kevin Muscat (born 7 August 1973 in Crawley, England) is an Australian football (soccer) player, who currently plays for and is captain of Melbourne Victory in the Australian Hyundai A-League. He is of Maltese background.
Career
Muscat made his international debut for Australia on the 24 September 1994 against Kuwait. He represented Australia in the U/23 football competition in the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. He also represented Australia in the U/20 1993 World Youth Cup Finals in Australia. When playing for Australia in 2001, they faced Uruguay in a playoff for a spot in the 2002 FIFA World Cup. In the first leg in Melbourne, Australia won 1-0 thanks to a penalty from Kevin Muscat. However Australia went down 3-0 in Montevideo to miss out on qualifying for the World Cup.
He has spent most of his career in Britain, playing for Crystal Palace, Wolves, Rangers and Millwall. In 2004, he captained Millwall to the FA Cup Final for the first time in their history. Unfortunately he missed the final itself, after suffering a knee ligament injury in the semi-final against Sunderland. He left Millwall for a return to Australia to become Melbourne Victory's inaugural captain in the 2005/6 season.
Despite being a regular in the Australian national team, Muscat found himself dropped from the squad when coach Guus Hiddink took over in 2005. He played no part in Australia's qualification for the World Cup and was shattered to find himself out of the squad for Australia's first World Cup appearance in 32 years, in 2006.
In August 2006, Muscat was given a lifeline back into the national team. Lacking experienced players for the Asian Cup qualifier against Kuwait, coach Graham Arnold recalled Kevin Muscat and handed him the captaincy. Australia won the match 2-0 to qualify for the 2007 Asian Cup.
Reputation
Muscat has a reputation as a football 'hard man', and was dubbed the "most hated man in football" by then Birmingham City player Martin Grainger in 2000. This was due to his many encounters with opposing players with the view being that he was unnecessarily physical and dirty in his play.
He has previously seriously injured both Craig Bellamy and Christophe Dugarry, the latter in a friendly international between Australia and France in 2001 with a sliding tackle from behind. The French manager Roger Lemerre dubbed the tackle "an act of brutality", particularly given the friendly status of the match which was designed to prepare Australia for the two-legged playoff against Uruguay. Dugarry was sidelined with a serious knee ligament injury for several months.
In 2004, a lawsuit on Muscat brought by former Charlton player Matt Holmes resulted in a settlement of £250,000 plus costs in favour of Holmes, bringing the estimated settlement to around £750,000. Holmes had to have four operations on his leg following a tackle by Muscat in 1998, and there were initial fears that his leg might have to be amputated. The claim was settled at the High Court without any admission of liability.
In December 2005, he was banned for 3 matches by the A-league disciplinary panel on grounds of "violent conduct", the first player to be suspended in such a manner.

Professional career
Thompson began his career in Bathurst, playing there in the 1995-1996 season. He then moved to play for Gippsland Falcons between 1996 and 1999. After the collapse of Gippsland Falcons, he played a season for Carlton S.C. from 1999 to 2000. He spent 2001 with Marconi Stallions, before making a big break in 2001 in signing with Belgium's Lierse SK. He returned to his home country to play for the Melbourne Victory in 2005 (the inaugural A-League season), scoring the team's first ever regular season goal.
After superb performances with Melbourne Victory, he was the only A-League based player in the Australian national team's qualification matches against Uruguay for a berth in the 2006 FIFA World Cup finals.
With the Australian A-League season finishing in March and a four month gap between then and Australia's first World Cup group match, Thompson was approached in late 2005 join Dutch team PSV Eindhoven on a temporary loan. PSV was then coached by Guus Hiddink, who was also the Australian national team's head coach, and playing for the team would provide Thompson with the match fitness and exposure commentators believe crucial to his chances of being selected in the World Cup team. After negotiations between the Victory and PSV became stalled over the financial terms of the deal, Thompson was officially placed on six-month loan to PSV Eindhoven on January 13, 2006. He played his final Melbourne Victory game against Queensland Roar FC, scoring the only goal as the team's acting captain. This goal took his tally to 8 for the season, which made him Melbourne Victory's inaugural Golden Boot winner. He also tied for the A-League's top goal scorer (the Reebok Golden Boot award) with Alex Brosque, Bobby Despotovski and Stewart Petrie.
Thompson made just two appearances for PSV as a substitute. He was informed by the club that they would not be signing him to a further deal, and so he returned to Melbourne Victory for the A-League 2006-07 season.
Thompson was a member of Australia's squad for the 2006 FIFA World Cup, but did not play in a match in the finals. In August 2006, he was appointed vice-captain for the Asian Cup qualifiers against Kuwait.
Goal scoring world record
Thompson set the world record for goals scored in an international match with 13 on April 11, 2001, as Australia played American Samoa in Coffs Harbour in a qualifier for the 2002 World Cup. Australia won 31-0 (the score was originally reported as 32-0 as the scorekeepers lost count). Thompson, who was not even close to being Australia's first choice striker, scored 13 of the 31. David Zdrilic added eight himself.
The 13 goals broke the record of 10 shared by Denmark's Sophus "Krølben" Nielsen in a 17-1 win against France at the 1908 Olympics and Germany's Gottfried Fuchs in a 16-0 win against Russia in the 1912 Olympics.
This also equalled the record for the most goals scored in a recognised senior tournament, when John Petrie scored 13 goals in a Scottish Cup tie in 1885.
Thompson's record game accounts for much of his international career statistics. As of 22/2/06 he has only scored five other goals for his country.

Paul Okon (born April 5, 1972 in Sydney) is an Australian football (soccer) player currently with Australian side Newcastle United Jets. Okon grew up in the Sydney suburb of Bossley Park. He previously captained the Australian National Team and has represented Australia at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. Okon's career began at Marconi Stallions in the old NSL in Australia. He then went on to play at many European clubs including S.S. Lazio and Fiorentina in Italy's Serie A, Vicenza Calcio in Serie B, Middlesbrough F.C. and Leeds United F.C. in the English Premiership, Club Brugge, K.V. Oostende in Belgium's Jupiler League and APOEL FC in the Παγκύπριο Πρωτάθλημα Α΄ Κατηγορίας (Cyprus).
Okon represented his high school, Patrician Brothers' College, Fairfield during his time as a teenage schoolboy and featured prominently in all teams including the A Grade squad. However, his abilities did not stop at the football pitch. He set the record for high jump at the College's annual Athletics Carnival in the under 16s age group which was only broken in 2004.
He signed with A-League club Newcastle United Jets for the 2006-07 season.

A former Australian Under-23 international, Danny Milosevic comes to the Knights after five years at Leeds United in the English Premiership where he was understudy to goalkeepers of such pedigree as Nigel Martyn and Paul Robinson. With previous stints at Arminia Bielefeld in Germany and Perth Glory, Danny Milosevic is a well-established player and is an excellent shot-stopper with terrific reflexes and great presence in the penalty box.
