新浪體育訊 紐卡斯爾好不容易等來了客場首勝，兩名大牌新援馬丁斯和達夫也收穫了新賽季第一粒進球，但是麻煩總是如影隨形。上週日主力門將吉文在比賽中因為與對手相撞導致內腸破裂，愛爾蘭人當即被送往醫院手術，據最新消息，吉文將因傷缺陣大約6個星期。
吉文與西漢姆前鋒海爾伍德相撞的情景至今回想起來還令人驚悚，當時吉文出擊，海爾伍德倒地鏟搶，雙腳重重蹬在吉文的腹部，慢鏡頭顯示海爾伍德並不是沖人去的，但是雙方都卯足了勁，所以衝擊力達到最大值。吉文當即被擔架抬出賽場，在醫院裡被確診為腸道破裂，醫生立即為他動了手術。
紐卡斯爾主帥羅德爾說：「醫生說這是純粹的意外，他還說這種傷從未在足球比賽中遇到，一般都是在
車禍中會產生這樣的情況。吉文運氣太差，紐卡斯爾也是。」手術後的吉文恢復情況良好，疼痛感減輕，不過他還必須留在醫院觀察幾天，之後才能回家養傷。
吉文休養期間將錯過兩場歐錦賽預選賽，對手分別是塞浦路斯和捷克。英超聯賽也將錯過幾場重量級對話，包括客場對陣明天對陣
利物浦和第七輪對陣
曼聯。這段期間2號門將哈珀不出意外將擔任主力，不過為防萬一，羅德爾正在考慮從博爾頓租借伊恩-沃克爾。

唔知啦, 不過我後來睇starsport(當然唔係香港個個:icon101:)ge全場翻播個時我見到有若干ge西咸球迷係路迷個完手勢之後衡向路達個邊, 之後比保安ko左
係比賽後期都唔難發現多左好多保安係路達後面出現

Newcastle striker Shola Ameobi has admitted playing despite being told he requires an operation on his hip.
Ameobi said: "I've been speaking to the doctor and a few surgeons about it, and the manager's been advised not to play me in too many games in a week.
"The problem's deteriorating, which is a shame. I just need to see how long I can go before I need an operation. We'll just have to wait and see how long I can keep on going.
"Obviously I'm going to keep on doing what I'm doing until the time's right to get the operation.
"It's been frustrating. If I'm honest, it's something I've had for two years. I've never felt fully, fully fit, to be perfectly honest.
"But I'm not making excuses. I have to perform, and I have to do the best I can, every time I play."
