Mourinho was questioned as to whether, as had been reported previously in the media, Fabien Barthez would be joining the Blues as goalkeeping cover during Petr Cech’s absence.
He explained that the club had been flooded with calls offering goalkeepers but said that he felt that Barthez would not be suitable.
"What I know is Hilario and Carlo are very good goalkeepers. It is not easy for somebody to come and play in this team. Probably what we have to try and get is a third goalkeeper and Fabien Barthez is not a third goalkeeper. He is a high profile goalkeeper."

The Football Association have announced that no further disciplinary action will be taken against any party involved in the controversial meeting of Reading and Chelsea last weekend.
The Blues were furious after seeing keepers Petr Cech and Carlo Cudicini stretchered off at the Madejski Stadium, with the former requiring surgery to repair a fractured skull suffered in a clash with Stephen Hunt in the opening seconds of the game.
Cudicini was later flattened by an Ibrahima Sonko challenge, while both sides ended the game with ten men and the final whistle was greeted by a clash between staff from both benches.
However, a statement on TheFA.com read: "The FA can confirm that no formal disciplinary action will be taken in relation to on-field incidents during the Reading-Chelsea match on Saturday October 14.
"The FA has reviewed the incidents involving Stephen Hunt and Petr Cech and Ibrahima Sonko and Carlo Cudicini and has contacted referee Mike Riley, who confirmed that the match officials saw both incidents at the time.
"There will therefore be no further action.
"Reading's Andre Bikey and Chelsea's John Obi Mikel have been reminded of their responsibilities in relation to their conduct after being sent off.
"Reading assistant manager Kevin Dillon and Chelsea fitness coach Rui Faria have also been reminded of their responsibilities following an incident in the technical area towards the end of the match."

我覺得唔洗,2個都係去波.只係sonko沖埋去個勢好狠,但佢個心係去波因為佢都唔知cudicini會沖出離.....

新浪體育訊 切爾西缺少門將，這是眾所周知的事情，因為33歲的老將普拉托很可能加盟切爾西。近日，普拉托在切爾西進行了一段時間的試訓，他希望自己的表現已經能夠說服穆里尼奧，從而獲得一年不菲的合同。
「這裡的一切都很棒，無論是教練還是工作人員。球隊非常的熱情和友好，大家都在歡迎我。」普拉托在接受天空體育的採訪時這樣說道，「切爾西是一家大球會，因此球員們的訓練都非常出色。穆里尼奧對我很熱情，並且表示出了歡迎，因此我感覺不錯。」
「我隨以前效力的俱樂部阿雅克肖已經訓練了兩個多月了，因此身體條件沒什麼問題。非常感謝阿雅克肖俱樂部主席的幫助，因為在上賽季末，我告訴他我希望能夠在海外踢球，所以才謝絕了俱樂部的續約提議。我與西班牙、意大利和土耳其的俱樂部進行了聯繫，但是最終卻沒什麼結果。我不會說我希望在切爾西當第二或者第三守門員，我知道自己想要的是什麼。而且我也不認為這對於我來說會是能去其他俱樂部踢球的保證書，我只想考慮現在的情況，希望能夠獲得與切爾西的合同，」
普拉托表示他對於自己在倫敦試訓的這段日子非常的滿意，就像是在法國時一樣隨意，這很可能是法國球員馬克萊萊和俱樂部隊醫的功勞，他們幫助普拉托獲得放鬆，而且在英國的這段時間里一直照顧他，使他在英國的生活非常安定和舒服。
「當然，有馬克萊萊這樣能夠說兩種語言的同伴存在對於我會更容易一點，而且球隊還有兩個法國醫生。」
不過切爾西畢竟是切爾西，普拉托也表示出了一種焦慮：「我當然是盡到了最大的努力去爭取這份合同，但是我不知道3-4天的試訓是否能夠足夠判斷我的水平。我沒和其他候選的隊員一起訓練，切爾西顯然是非常聰明的。如果還有其他守門員來這裡試訓，當然單獨的試訓更好一點，這樣更加符合邏輯也更優雅。」
