According to the latest transfer speculation from England, the Argentinean striker will sign for the Rosanero when the transfer window re-opens in January.Carlos Tevez is the target of various European sides, and apparently Palermo's President, Maurizio Zamparini, is preparing an offer for the player in January so as to anticipate all other clubs who will try to snatch him away from West Ham in June.
The player has been on Palermo's shortlist for quite some time, and his failure of making an impact in the Premiership could push him to quit England sooner than expected.
The Sicilian side will have to sell Andrea Caracciolo in order to bring Tevez, and the Italian striker has already found suitors in England, with Liverpool being touted as the main contenders for his signature.
Tevez - along with Mascherano - shocked the football world by moving from Corinthians to West Ham over the summer.
It was rumoured that it was just a stepping stone towards European football. However, things simply could not have gone worse for him and the Hammers, who find their season almost in shambles.
Part of the Hammers' struggle has been due to the huge media interest in the two Argentines, and it might just be better for both parties to regroup separately

Palermo have dismissed rumours suggesting they are interested in signing West Ham striker Carlos Tevez in the January transfer window.
“I can only say that the latest reports I have read are nonsense, I have no idea where all this is coming from,” said sporting director Rino Foschi to news agency GRT.
“I have never heard anything about this, I would like to know who starts these rumours.”
Tevez joined West Ham from Brazilian side Corinthians during the summer, signing a four-year contract with the London club.
And despite the fact that he is yet to score since moving to England, he has reiterated that he is keen on staying at Upton Park to prove himself in the Premiership.
Meanwhile Palermo, who confirmed their leadership of Serie A after defeating Messina in Wednesday’s midweek round, have eyed Bordeaux midfielder Rio Mavuba.
The French ace could become the natural successor to captain Eugenio Corini, whose contract expires at the end of the season.
Foschi confirmed that 22-year-old Mavuba, dubbed the 'new Jean Tigana', is currently on the club’s wish list.
“We need three more players, but we will not make a decision until later given that some players could injure themselves, and others may be forced out of the team,” said Foschi.

Palermo have rubbished reports linking Carlos Tevez with a move to the Sicilian club.
Argentina striker Tevez, 22, recently joined West Ham United from Brazilian club Corinthians.
But he has struggled for form and having failed to secure a regular first-team berth at Upton Park, reports have linked him with a switch to Palermo, who are joint top of Serie A.
The Rosaneri's director of sport Rino Foschi could not have been clearer about the claims, however.
'I can only stay that this is something absolutely stupid and I don't know where it comes from and who has put this stupid gossip around,' he told Gazzetta.
Foschi did confirm that his club are on the hunt for new players, including 22-year-old Bordeaux midfielder Rio Mavuba.
