卡迪夫城欲外借史密夫 10 November, 2006 17:37 +0800英國廣播公司報導，曼聯已同意將陣中前鋒阿倫史密夫外借至現時英冠榜首球隊卡迪夫城。
不過該名廿六歲英格蘭球員是否同意個人條件仍是未知之數。阿倫史密夫自本年二月對利物浦時骨折後，一直未能重返一隊。卡迪夫城方面由於首席前鋒史堤夫湯臣將缺陣整個十一月，球隊需要外借球員以補攻力。
卡迪夫城現任主席利斯達爾，正是前列斯聯主席。
本周二晚曼聯聯賽盃不敵修安聯的比賽中，阿倫史密夫於六十分鐘便被換出

Leeds United manager Dennis Wise is trying to re-sign Alan Smith from
Manchester United as the forward stalls on a switch to Cardiff City.
The spiky striker was a huge favourite at Elland Road but upset the fans by
opting to move across the Pennines to Leeds' bitter rivals.
Some supporters displayed banners suggesting Smith would not be welcomed
back as he understandably left following the team's slide into the
Championship.
The move has not worked out as planned for the 26-year-old as he started off
impressively, scoring goals in attack, but was subjected to an ill-fated
experiment of playing in midfield by manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
Smith suffered a serious injury during an FA Cup tie with Liverpool last
season and has struggled to get back to full fitness since returning as a
centre forward.
His limp display in the embarrassing defeat to Southend United in the
Carling Cup has prompted Ferguson to allow him to leave on loan.
"Cardiff phoned us yesterday morning and I thought about it," he explained.
"The fact that we're no longer in the League Cup.
"In the short-term, it would be ideal for him to get him games.
"I put that to him but I don't think he's spoken to David Jones, but he has
spoken to someone at Cardiff.
"He's uncertain as to what to do. He's not sure whether he should take it or
not.
"More games is the idea on our part, without the League Cup, because he
really needs football.
"There's no question about that."
Leeds are in the relegation zone and would be boosted by Smith's return if
they can fend off the competition for his signature.
Wise has confirmed that Paul Butler is available for transfer after being
stripped of the captaincy.
"We'd love Alan Smith, he's a wonderful player," Wise told Sky Sports News.
"If it's a possibility, then lovely.
"It'd be a boost for the team, let alone the fans and the club. We're
talking about a quality player here who has done it at all levels.
"Of course, I would love him here.
"We have to wait and see. We've only just found out so I'm sure there will
be 20 other clubs interested in Alan Smith, maybe other teams in the
Premiership.
