Toulouse have signed Sweden World Cup striker Johan Elmander for an undisclosed fee from Danish club Brondby.
The former Feyenoord hit-man has penned a four-year contract with the French Ligue 1 club, despite attracting the interest of several European clubs.
Old Firm giants Rangers had a bid rejected for the 25-year-old, while Borussia Dortmund and Rennes were also keen on the Scandinavian marksman.
Elmander was delighted to make the switch to France and Les Violets.
"I am really happy to join Toulouse, I can't wait to start playing," Elmander told Toulouse's official website.
"I think they are a good club, and they have ambition to play in Europe."
Toulouse boss Elie Baup was pleased to land a striker of Elmander's calibre.
"He is the type of striker I was waiting for," said the former St Etienne manager.
"He has the experience of an international player."

Nantes have completed the signing of Anderlecht's Swedish international Christian Wilhelmsson after protracted negotiations between the two clubs reached a successful conclusion.
The move had been held up with the two clubs unable to agree on a fee but a price of €3.5 million (£2.4 million) has now been set.
Wilhelmsson has signed a three-year contract with The Canaris and becomes the second player to leave Anderlecht in the space of a couple of days, following Vincent Kompany's switch to Hamburg.
"I am relieved that everything is finally okay," Wilhelmsson, who appeared in all four of Sweden's World Cup matches, told La Derniere Heure.
"The clubs could not come to an agreement. Even during the World Cup, it was stressful - I was thinking about it everyday."
Wilhelmsson is now looking forward to continuing his career in Ligue 1 and outlined his objectives for the forthcoming campaign.
"The contract is good and I look forward to playing for Nantes," he told Sportbladet.
"It feels great to join a new league. The French one is of a high quality and I will get the chance to face many good clubs.
"I need new challenges. We are aiming for the top and a top-five finish is not impossible

Paulo Figueiredo, who impressed with Angola at the World Cup finals, has found a new club after agreeing terms with Osters IF.
The 33-year-old made an eye-catching impression in Germany despite failing to last the 90 minutes in each of his three outings in Group D.
"This is a very experienced player who did very well at the World Cup," explained Osters director Ola Ryden to the club's official website.
"We have big expectations of him."
Figueiredo could link up with Angola team-mate Fabrice Akwa, who has also been targeted by the Swedish strugglers.
The midfield man was most recently with Varzim.

RUSSELL NEARING VIBORG MOVE

Rosenborg right back Robbie Russell is on the verge of a transfer to Danish top flight side Viborg FF, with only an agreement on personal terms left to complete the deal.
The former Duke University star was told by RBK that he could look for a new team last week, and the Greens have wasted little time in making their move.
"Rosenborg and Viborg have come to terms," he told YA. "Now, it's just a matter of me coming to terms with the club, but I want to visit first. I should go to see it in a couple of days."
Russell confirmed that he had a number of interested Tippeligaen suitors, but felt it was best to try something new.
"There's been some rumors and such, but nothing that reaches the level of Viborg," he said. "None of the other clubs have gone past the point of being interested."
The 26-year old reports he is fit after suffering through a couple of seasons of knee troubles, but is eager for more action than he's been getting under RBK boss Per-Mathias Høgmo.
"I feel as good as I can without playing many games," shared Russell, who saw Champions League duty with the team in 2004. "I've been training hard and doing extra work on the side."
