Following a two-week FIFA World Cup break, the Swedish Allsvenskan is back in action with Hammarby and IF Elfsborg leading the way.

Pacesetters Hammarby have sold star striker Björn Runström to English Premiership side Fulham FC but Brazilian Paulinho Guará is impressing in his former team-mate's absence and tops the goalscoring charts with seven so far this season. However, Hammarby's most dramatic result of recent weeks was a 3-0 defeat at second-placed Elfsborg, for whom midfielder Anders Svensson and youngster Samuel Holmén are catching the eye. Should Magnus Haglund's men continue their solid stride they might just win their first title since 1961.

Larsson är klar för Birmingham
Sportbladet kan avslöja att Sebastian Larsson, 21, gjort klart med Birmingham."Arsenal vill inte släppa honom till ett Premier League-lag", säger Per Jonsson, Larssons agent.
Redan för en vecka sedan påstod sig Birmingham ha gjort klart med Larsson, något som inte stämde.
Larsson har nu skrivit på ett 6 månaders kontrakt med Birmingham som nästa säsong spelar i The Championship.

可能係直頭唔踢國家隊,打完世界盃時傳媒都推測過佢會唔踢:icon032:
蘇斯克查決定重返國家隊，替球隊在八月中友賽巴西中替球隊披甲。
雖然領隊費格遜希望蘇斯克查能夠專心效力曼聯，但蘇斯克查決定仍會替國家隊上陣。
蘇斯克查在受傷近兩年多後終能全面康復，他亦受到國家隊領隊夏爾迪重召。
挪威將友賽鄧加帶領的巴西，而夏爾迪選出的大軍陣容中，除了蘇斯克查外，前鋒卡維、艾法臣，中場摩頓柏達臣，後衛懷斯等仍在陣中。
巴西方面，鄧加以一眾新人試陣，陣中「夢幻四重奏」- 包括朗拿甸奴、朗拿度、阿祖安奴及卡卡均未有入選。

Mellberg hands in Swedish captain's armband
Olof Mellberg is quitting as captain of Sweden to concentrate on his career at Aston Villa under new manager Martin O'Neill.
Mellberg, who wants to continue as a player for his country, has been considering whether to hand over the armband since the World Cup finals in Germany.
He told Villa's official website: 'I have been thinking about this since after the World Cup and felt that with everything that is going on at Aston Villa it was time to let someone else take over.
'We have a new manager and we do not know exactly what will happen with the club or who will take over as the owner.
'I feel it could be a good change for the national team and for myself.'
Villa skipper Mellberg is excited at the prospect of Villa finally realising their potential under O'Neill.
He said: 'It's fantastic for the players and fantastic for the fans as well. I think we all needed a lift - especially the fans.
'As I've said before, we just focused on pre-season and getting ourselves fit for the new manager. Now Martin O'Neill is here and we can get things right for Arsenal away.
'His arrival excites me as a player. I have only heard good things about him.
'From his Celtic days I obviously know Henrik Larsson well and Johan Mjallby and Magnus Hedman were also there.
'They know him really well and they've all had good things to say about him, so I'm looking forward to working with him.'
Mellberg added: 'I think this can definitely lift the players - especially the players who were maybe not involved that much last season.
'It's all like starting a little bit from scratch for everyone. I think we needed that after last season, because that was really, really disappointing.
'I think you could see against Hanover on Saturday from the players who were not really involved last season - players like Eric Djemba-Djemba and Mathieu Berson - came in and looked really determined.'
