Inter close in on Pizarro

Inter are close to finalising the transfer of David Pizarro from Udinese.
Once that deal is concluded it is thought they will then set their sights on the capture of Luis Figo from Real Madrid – with the Portuguese star showing plenty of encouragement.
“I have won with Barcelona. I have won with Madrid. Now, I want to win with Inter”, Figo told Inter patron Massimo Moratti, alleges the Tuttosport.
Moratti has also talked up the transfer in the wake of Liverpool’s deal for Figo falling through.
“It is true, we are interested in Figo,” stated Moratti. “However, everything hinges on the rest of our transfer dealings.”
“As for the Pizarro transfer - we are close. And the fee is similar to that speculated in the Press, cash and part-ownership of Goran Pandev.”

The clubs only need to clarify some particulars before the transfer can go officially through.
David Pizarro has already sustained a medical visit for the Nerazzurri, yet he must wait till Thursday before he officially becomes an Inter player. This was declared by the player’s agent, Fernando Hidalgo, on his way out from the offices of the Inter vice-President, Rinaldo Ghelfi.
