Inter are close to finalising the transfer of David Pizarro from Udinese.
Once that deal is concluded it is thought they will then set their sights on the capture of Luis Figo from Real Madrid – with the Portuguese star showing plenty of encouragement.
“I have won with Barcelona. I have won with Madrid. Now, I want to win with Inter”, Figo told Inter patron Massimo Moratti, alleges the Tuttosport.
Moratti has also talked up the transfer in the wake of Liverpool’s deal for Figo falling through.
“It is true, we are interested in Figo,” stated Moratti. “However, everything hinges on the rest of our transfer dealings.”
“As for the Pizarro transfer - we are close. And the fee is similar to that speculated in the Press, cash and part-ownership of Goran Pandev.”
The player has already passed his medical and Pizarro’s agent Fernando Hidalgo commented: “Pizarro is looking forward to signing, and would like to thanks both Udinese and Inter for their efforts” |
